Splendid Summer for Some Sports in the Sun

Bright sunshine. Blue sky. Mild temperature. Such is the gorgeous Bay Area summer weather. And it would be a waste and a shame to stay indoor to… study. What should we do with this? Sports, hiking, picnic, BBQ… you name it–as long as it is outdoors. And I anticipate that we will do many of those things this summer. We will keep you all posted about our activities, so stay tuned for the summer updates and feel free to share your summer activities with us.

SatBBall_041 As a starter, some of us played basketball at Willard Junior High School, where Gracepoint Fellowship Church meets for Sunday Worship Service. Even though ISM is a UC Berkeley graduate student group, some of us are actually working professionals who do not have as much time to exercise. As a result, I thought that many of our working guys would have a hard time lifting themselves off the ground. How wrong I was! To my surprise and amazement, I discovered a bird-man among us. I took a picture of him as a solid proof. (By the way, I didn’t do any photoshop work on the picture.) So, if you want to play basketball with the man who can truly fly, come to our next basketball game!

omg, bird-man looks amazing! Too bad I missed the live performace. Are we going to be able to play anytime soon? I’m looking forward to soccer and/or Ultimate Frisbee…
