Right after going to Thailand, I went to Singapore to visit Chloe, a former ISM alumnus, and Siao Charn, a current ISM member. It felt like a convergence of time- Chloe has not changed at all and I saw Siao Charn in the US, right before leaving for Thailand. It is amazing that there is ISM all over the world because God is working all over the world. Hopefully we will meet future graduate students from Singapore. On a side note, I wanted to visit Singapore because it has a water purification plant called NeWater and I wanted to take a tour, but they convinced me that there were other attractions that were better than a three hour tour of a water treatment plant, such as eating a meal that translates into bone, soup, tea which is what we are eating in this picture and going to the resort beach island of Sentosa.
Singapore overall is very small, but a quaint metropolitan area that merges Chinese, Malay, Indian, and British influences. I was impressed with the architecture and skyline. Also the British English taught me that American English is not as commonly used around the world as I thought. Ahh I’m such an ignorant American. Next time, I’m riding with Siao Charn, I’ll ask her to look for the car park with me.
