The message begins with a testimony by brother Joseph Yu regarding his short term missions trip experience in Cambodia. Brother Chul Kim then gave a message based on the story of Elijah and the widow in 1 Kings 17. He first discusses the issues of compartmentalization of people’s religious lives and worldly affairs, and how God should really be at the center of our trust for our lives. Using Elijah as an example, Chul discusses how despite the drought at time, Elijah was able to trust God and go where God directed him, even to the hands of a widow, who herself lacked food. Yet, God was able to provide for both Elijah and the widow. Later on, Chul discusses the problem that sin has in our lives, and by recognizing the overarching consequences of sin, we can take steps of faith to trust God to deal with our sins.
