In the last installment of the “Why Am I….?” series, Sharon answered the question, “Why am I so lonely?” It turns out that the way to deal with loneliness is not to constantly surround ourselves with family and friends or to pursue our own agenda, but rather to take our eyes off of ourselves and onto God and others. Through a character study of Zaccheus from Luke 19, we begin to notice modern-day “tax collectors” in and around us, and learn that the Biblical solution to loneliness leads us to true joy, contentment, and refreshment.
