Gilroy Garlic Festival

The IGSM Girls & Garlic: A Match Made in Gilroy…  Ten of us drove down to Gilroy, CA to attend the annual Gilroy Garlic Festival.  We sampled a ton of yummy food, including such items as garlic ice cream (quite edible) and garlic kettle corn (sweet crunchiness with a zing!).  You can probably tell which of us went by our sun tan and garlic breath!

You guys seemed to have a lot of fun!
Are we eating for living or living for eating?
    Sometimes I wonder….

i wonder if that place is really stinky with garlic smell. the foster farm chicken is really funny and reflective of the event because people will probably look like that if all they do in the festival is eating.

mm, the popcorn you brought back was good.

I was also struck by the floating chickens. When we were first approaching the festival grounds, we were sure that the floating white specks in the sky were garlic-shaped balloons. Then we realized later that they were big, fat chickens…

Thanks for a great time, everyone! Let’s hit Palace Buffet together sometime =)

As per Wesley’s comment, the sisters kindly brought back some garlic flavored popcorn. It was good, and quite potent. In fact, I think I’m still tasting garlic on everything I eat, including my coffee.

Believe it or not… the garlic flavored popcorn was nothing compare to the garlic fries we had! After eating the fries, you really couldn’t taste the garlic flavor in the popcorn at all! I could taste the garlic in my mouth even till the next morning… seriously I thought that people could smell us at the home worship service!
