We caught kingfish, jacksmelt, shiner perch, and mackerel. No luck for those of us who were shooting for halibut though. We probably used half the fish we caught as bait to try to catch bigger fish. Ilwoo almost had a big one--he felt this huge tug, and when he pulled up the line, only the head was left. My guess is that it was a shark. Not bad for our first time to the pier!
