International Graduate Student Ministry – Gracepoint Berkeley

With a recent move closer to campus, several ISM members wanted to host a house warming party to introduce the new place to students. Invitations were sent out and over 50+ people showed up! It was just so festive and loud!

We started with a BBQ dinner and conversations came so naturally. Dinner time lasted for more than a hour because we just had great time sharing about our backgrounds and stories from graduate school. After dinner, we quickly cleaned up the living room and powered up the video projector with a 5-speakers surround sound setup to watch a nature documentary set called “Planet Earth”. Everybody’s jaw dropped and were amazed at the stunning nature scenes from the episode “Pole to Pole”. No one won’t forget the Great White Shark feasting on some seals or the jungle birds dancing wildly around to attract a mate.

The house on Dana and Dwight will be open to more future events such as small group dinners and English class discussion sections, so stay tune!
