ISM was treated to a spectacular game where the A’s pounded the Toronto Blue Jays. Many students didn’t know the game of baseball, but Howard and Richard did their best to explain the intricacies of America’s favorite past time. Also, it was such a thrill to see the human “wave” go around the entire stadium.
Following the game, we went down to the baseball field with the rest of the crowd to enjoy a dazzling display of fireworks. Many students commented how the evening fireworks show was worth the trip to Oakland Coliseum. The fireworks show had famous past American songs (patriotic and oldies but goodies) punctuated with a fury of colorful chemcial explosions.

International Graduate Student Ministry (IGSM) is an official graduate student group at UC Berkeley. IGSM started in the fall of 2003 with the vision to help all UC Berkeley graduate students from various countries (including students from the United States) find out the true meaning and purpose of their lives through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many of us also attend Gracepoint Berkeley, where Pastor Ed and Kelly Kang lead the ministry.
